Terms for using Money in Reach.
These rules cover the website, app, accounts, planning tools, subscriptions, connected accounts, Reach Guide, and Resolve.
Effective: September 12, 2026 · Last updated: September 12, 2026 · Version: 2026-09-12
- Money in Reach provides educational, planning, and case-organization tools.
- You remain responsible for checking important facts, choosing actions, and sending every Resolve communication.
- Paid plans renew as shown at checkout until canceled through the billing provider that sold the membership.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Money in Reach ("Money in Reach," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Money in Reach website, mobile application, content, accounts, tools, Money in Reach Plus, connected-account features, Reach Guide, and Money in Reach Resolve (collectively, the "Service").
When you create or access an account, complete Resolve onboarding, or confirm a purchase, you are asked to affirmatively agree to the version of these Terms presented to you and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. The Service records the applicable document versions, time, authenticated account, and acceptance context. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account or paid feature. Public educational pages remain available without an account.
You may save or print these Terms. Electronic acceptance has the same effect as a handwritten signature to the extent permitted by law. Required agreements, receipts, renewal notices, and other records may be delivered electronically only under the separate E-Sign and Electronic Communications Consent. Nothing here requires you to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
2. Eligibility and authority
Account, paid, connected-account, and Resolve features are intended only for people who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where they live. By using one of those features, you represent that you meet that requirement and can enter into this agreement. If you use the Service for another person or organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for them, but the Service is designed for personal consumer use and may not be resold.
The Service is designed for users in the United States. We do not represent that it is appropriate, lawful, or complete for another country.
3. Educational service—not professional advice
Money in Reach provides general financial education, calculators, examples, checklists, market summaries, progress tools, and user-directed planning workspaces. Money in Reach is not a bank, lender, credit bureau, credit-repair organization, broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, insurance producer, mortgage broker, attorney, accountant, or tax preparer. No attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, agency, or other professional relationship is created.
The Service does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, mortgage, credit, insurance, estate-planning, or accounting advice. It does not recommend a security, trade, portfolio, lender, policy, legal claim, tax position, or financial product. Examples and calculations are estimates based on the information entered and assumptions described; they may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Verify important facts, deadlines, balances, rates, policies, and decisions using current official records and an appropriately licensed professional.
4. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us through the contact page or at admin@moneyinreach.net if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security or otherwise provided by law. Do not share authentication codes, passwords, or access to a signed-in device.
We may require reauthentication for sensitive actions, including account deletion. We may refuse, limit, or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, maintain the Service, comply with law, or address a material violation of these Terms.
5. User content and evidence
You retain ownership of descriptions, messages, files, case records, feedback, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant Money in Reach and its contracted processors a limited, nonexclusive license to host, copy, transmit, redact, analyze, format, and display User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the features you request, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for limited backup, security, audit, billing, legal-acceptance, or dispute records described in the Privacy Notice.
You represent that you have the right to submit the User Content and that our permitted processing will not violate another person's rights. Do not upload malware, unlawfully obtained material, another person's private records without authority, or full card numbers, account or routing numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, PINs, medical records, tax identifiers, or government identification. Redact information that is not needed for the requested task.
6. AI features
Reach Guide and Resolve may use automated systems to summarize information, extract possible facts, generate educational explanations, and draft user-editable text. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated, or inappropriate. It is not a factual finding, professional opinion, official policy, or instruction to act.
You must review and confirm every material fact and decide whether to use any output. Pasted text is treated as untrusted evidence, never as instructions to the model. At launch, uploaded images and PDFs stay private for your reference and are not read automatically or sent to an AI provider. Money in Reach does not use an AI response to transfer funds, contact a company, file a complaint, decide eligibility for credit, or make another high-impact decision for you.
7. Money in Reach Resolve
Resolve is a consumer case organizer, information assistant, reminder system, and drafting tool. It does not investigate or adjudicate a claim; establish that money is owed; interpret a contract or law for you; contact a company; send an email; make a call; initiate a chargeback; submit a dispute or complaint; negotiate; move money; or represent you. You approve, edit, send, and record every communication and make every escalation choice. Results and recovery are never guaranteed.
Resolve does not support active fraud or stolen-funds recovery, identity theft, medical-insurance appeals, court filings, legal representation, tax disputes, bankruptcy, debt settlement, autonomous card disputes or complaints, or emergencies involving immediate physical danger. A support classification is only a product-routing decision, not a legal conclusion. Official-resource links are informational and may change; confirm the destination and current rules before acting.
Optional reminders contain a general prompt to review the private workspace. If you separately enable inbound Resolve email, an authenticated message from your verified sign-in address may create a private draft for your review. An inbound message does not approve extracted facts, authorize AI document processing, create a final plan, or authorize communication with a company.
A free account receives one complete Resolve case as a one-time account benefit. Deleting that case, its evidence, or all Resolve content does not restore the free benefit. Money in Reach keeps a limited free-case eligibility record for this purpose until the account is permanently deleted. An active Money in Reach Plus membership allows the account to create additional Resolve cases. Existing cases remain available after Plus ends, but new additional cases require active access.
8. Connected financial accounts
Connecting an institution through Plaid is optional. Before opening Plaid Link, Money in Reach explains the categories of data requested, the purpose, and how to disconnect. By continuing through Plaid Link, you authorize Plaid and the selected institution to provide the data you choose for the disclosed Money in Reach use. You represent that you are authorized to access each selected account.
Connected data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, unavailable, or categorized incorrectly and is not an official statement. Money in Reach does not initiate transfers or payments. Use your institution's official records for balances, transfers, payment decisions, tax reporting, and disputes. Disconnecting stops future access and deletes the connected data cached by Money in Reach as described in the Privacy Notice; Plaid and the institution may retain their own records.
9. Prices, purchases, and automatic renewal
Prices, billing intervals, included features, and any taxes collected are shown before payment. Stripe processes website payment information and Apple processes iPhone in-app purchases. Money in Reach does not receive or store full payment-card details.
- Money in Reach Plus: currently $4.99 per month. It renews monthly at the then-disclosed price until canceled. While active, it includes additional Resolve cases along with the other features shown at checkout.
Before a recurring purchase, you must affirmatively accept the price, billing frequency, automatic-renewal term, cancellation method, and applicable Terms. There is no free trial unless one is expressly stated at checkout. The final Stripe Checkout screen controls a website purchase. The Apple purchase sheet and App Store subscription terms control an iPhone in-app purchase.
For a website purchase, stop future recurring charges through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from the Account or product dashboard. For an Apple purchase, use Apple subscription settings on the device or App Store account. Unless checkout, Apple, or applicable law says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and access continues until then. Deleting a Money in Reach account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Deleting an account or canceling does not automatically refund a prior charge. Apple handles Apple-purchase refunds; for a website purchase, contact us promptly and we will review a request in good faith when a refund is not otherwise required by law or stated at purchase.
If a recurring price changes, we will provide advance notice required by applicable law before the change applies to a renewal. You may cancel before the changed price takes effect.
10. Third-party services and links
The Service depends on providers such as Cloudflare, Firebase, Stripe, Plaid, Google Analytics, Resend, and configured AI providers. Their services and privacy practices are governed by their own agreements. We do not control an institution, merchant, government site, external complaint channel, or other linked site, and a link does not mean endorsement or guarantee. We are not responsible for a third party's independent act or omission, but we remain responsible for our own obligations that cannot lawfully be delegated.
11. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not:
- access or attempt to access another person's account, case, evidence, entitlement, or connected data;
- bypass authentication, payment, feature, rate, file, or security controls;
- upload malicious code, probe vulnerabilities, disrupt the Service, or automate abusive traffic;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent authority, evidence, payment status, or account ownership;
- use generated text to harass, threaten, deceive, defame, or make knowingly false claims;
- scrape, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Service except where a restriction is prohibited by law; or
- use the Service in a way that violates law or another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or contractual rights.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
Money in Reach grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Service for personal, noncommercial purposes while you comply with these Terms. Money in Reach's original software, text, design, branding, and compilations are protected by applicable law. Third-party names and materials remain their owners' property.
If you voluntarily provide an idea or suggestion, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but this does not transfer ownership of your private case content or evidence.
13. Privacy, export, and deletion
The Privacy Notice explains collection, use, disclosure, AI processing, retention, and privacy choices. Signed-in controls allow deletion of saved planning data, individual Resolve cases, connected-account data, or the account. A Resolve case export is available from the case workspace. Certain pseudonymized acceptance, security, transaction, and audit records may remain for the stated retention period when reasonably necessary to prove consent, prevent fraud, resolve billing disputes, establish or defend legal claims, or comply with law.
14. Service changes and termination
We may add, change, pause, or discontinue a feature. When reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice before ending a paid feature during a paid period. We may terminate or suspend an account for a material breach, security risk, unlawful conduct, nonpayment, or legal requirement. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time.
15. Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Money in Reach disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Service, data, AI output, reminders, calculations, official links, or third-party connections will be uninterrupted, error-free, current, secure, or suitable for a particular decision or outcome.
This disclaimer does not exclude an express promise stated in these Terms or a warranty, consumer guarantee, or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to disclaim.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Money in Reach and its owners, personnel, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of data, or decisions made in reliance on the Service, even if advised that such harm was possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Money in Reach for all claims arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid directly to Money in Reach during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, infringement caused by Money in Reach, or injury or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so a limitation applies only to the extent lawful for you.
17. Narrow indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Money in Reach against a third-party claim caused by your unlawful misuse of the Service, your knowing submission of content you had no right to provide, or your material violation of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to a claim caused by Money in Reach's own conduct and does not require you to indemnify us for a liability that applicable law places on us.
18. Disputes
Before filing a claim, you and Money in Reach agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally for 30 days. Send a notice describing the issue, requested resolution, and account email to admin@moneyinreach.net. We will respond using the contact information associated with your account. This informal step does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process, and it does not extend a filing deadline unless applicable law provides otherwise.
If the dispute is not resolved, either party may pursue available relief in a court with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class or collective action. Any governing-law or venue provision must identify the actual legal operator and jurisdiction and will not be added without conspicuous notice and, when required, renewed consent.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms prospectively. The effective date and version will change. For a material change affecting an account, paid service, data use, dispute process, or user responsibility, we will provide reasonable notice and request renewed acceptance when legally required or when the change is material enough that renewed assent is the prudent course. Changes do not retroactively alter a dispute that arose before the new version took effect.
20. General terms
These Terms, any product-specific agreement, and purchase terms displayed at checkout are the entire agreement for the Service and replace prior statements about the same subject. The Privacy Notice describes our processing practices and is acknowledged separately. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be narrowed only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your account or this agreement without our consent; we may assign the agreement as part of a merger, reorganization, asset transfer, or change in operator if the successor assumes the obligations described here. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and limited retention—survive termination.
21. Contact and legal notices
Questions, legal notices, billing concerns, and privacy requests may be sent through the Money in Reach contact page or to admin@moneyinreach.net. Do not include account numbers, card details, passwords, or sensitive documents in ordinary email.
